Week 8
Announcements:
Fall Break: There is no school on Thursday October 10th, Friday October 11th, or Monday, October 14th. Enjoy your break!
No Spelling This Week: There will be no spelling test this week because it is a short week.
No Library This week: We will not be visiting the library this week because of the short week.
Field Trip: We will be going on a field trip to Cornbelly's farm on Tuesday, October 22nd. We will leave the school at 8:35 so please make sure that your daughter is on time. We will return to school before lunch and eat lunch as usual at the school. There is a $3 fee for this field trip. Please do not send in your fee money until the week of the 14th (I will send an email reminder).

What we are learning this week:
Literacy: We will continue to practice the Spalding Phonograms. We will also learn more about nouns and the subjects of sentences. We will learn about interrogative (question) sentence.
Math: Equations with unknown partners (i.e. 5+?=10, 7-?=4)
Science: We will now be having science during our rotation time. We will be learning science from Mrs. Pili the second grade teacher.
Social Studies: Geography including the differences between maps and globes, the names of the continents and oceans.
Health: We will not have health this week because of the short week.
